ROUTE 66 BOATHOUSE
The Route 66 Boathouse is located on the east shore of Lake Overholser offering hourly kayak and bike rentals as well as youth sprint kayaking programs.
Whether you're new to the sport or an experienced paddler, you'll find the Route 66 Boathouse is one of the best places to kayak in central Oklahoma. Quiet waterways are a great place to learn the basics, and you're just a short paddle away from the scenic Stinchcomb Nature Preserve, a great place to enjoy kayaking on your own or with a group. Kayak and bike rentals are available March through October, for ages 8+. The last rental of the day is one hour before boathouse closing. Cost is $10 per hour for a single, $15 for a double. No reservation required.
Route 66 Boathouse hours are seasonal. The boathouse will re-open in March, 2010. Check back in the spring for information about kayaking lessons and trips, or email us to learn more.
